The Ridges Golf Course is the Hidden Treasure in
Wisconsin Rapids, between other great courses
within a 30 mile radius, which makes Central Wisconsin the perfect location for
your next golf getaway.
While we have membership's available our Golf Course is open to the general
public.
We strive to make your round enjoyable while challenging your game. The front nine finishes up with some tight holes with trees narrowing the fairways. The Back Nine begins on a ridge with a tee shot overlooking towering pines, the Buena Vista Creek and the flourishing valley floor 80 feet below. The Back Nine is wooded and tight!
Our members say of the Back Nine, "Placement: Leave the driver in the bag." Words cannot describe the beauty nor the challenge our golf course offers. The design of our golf course is not a cookie cutter design. While the front nine is not unusual, the back nine is undeniably different and we say that with a smile.
Our course record was set on 7/1/1981 and tied by the same person on 7/17/1981 by Skip Vincent who at the time was the Pro at the Ridges. HIs record of 8 under par 64 was almost tied last year by our member Rich Houston who had a 65. This is not a long golf course however yardage can be deceiving. That's a long time for a record to stand!
Ladies day is every Tuesday morning, Men's Seniors every Thursday morning, and all Men's day every Thursday afternoon. Everyone is welcome to join us in our special day events. Membership is not a requirement to play in these outings.
Out of town visitors find The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids, to be an interesting and challenging experience. In fact, we believe we have the most unique golf course in Central Wisconsin. Golfers from the central Wisconsin area who have not visited us lately will find that we have made many changes that will make the course even more challenging, with more intriguing options. The front nine is pretty straightforward; however it is guarded with plenty of potential problems. We now have strategically added water to 6 of the 9 holes. Check out the layout pages to see some of our changes. Our back nine is more of a placement shot layout. For golfers who want a little more excitement and aggression, every hole has a risk/reward opportunity. Eagles are very possible if a golfer chooses to use the Big Club on the 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th and 18th holes--however, double and triple bogies are also possible. Groups of 4 to 20 from out of town are welcome and we are more than happy to help make arrangements. See our golf facility page for more info.
Central Wisconsin's Most Unique Golf Course
We invite central Wisconsin residents who are unfamiliar with our facilities, or those who have not visited us since our changes, to come and play our course. Experience a truly fun and challenging golf course by playing 9, 18 or more holes in a friendly atmosphere and enjoying a nice lunch or dinner with beverages. We are a short drive from the Plover, Stevens Point and surrounding areas and encourage all to come play our updated 18 holes of excitement.
